Thanks for your bug report. That appears to be the case. Would you
mind implementing a fix? Please send it to
gcc-patches@gcc.gnu.org. Alternatively, feel free to use a different
string implementation (e.g. from libstdc++ v3); my guess is that
little if any more work will go into bastring.
