vector/algorithm breaks iostream?

I stand corrected.  Currently, <vector> and <algorithm> have nothing
to do at all with <iostream> not working, because at the moment even
"hello world" doesn't work.  :-|

    [skylab 73]> l2 ~/src/hw.cc 
    [skylab 74]> ./a.out 
    Hello, World!
    [skylab 75]> l3 ~/src/hw.cc
    [skylab 76]> ./a.out
    [skylab 77]> 

l2 and l3 are aliases to use g++ with libstd++-v2 and -v3, respectively
(in fact, l2 == g++ directly).
