still can't compile swt.jar .. what to do ?

3.4.5 is the latest version of gcj that the MinGW project supports. 
There are numerous problems with gcj on MinGW unfortunately, and this is
just one of them.  You might be able to find other people's sites that
have managed to hack a more recent version into building.
