GCJ 4.1.1 and static linking - SEGV -- SUMMARY

I get a SEGV in GC_malloc_atomic/GC_clear_stack/GC_clear_stack_inner
(nothing to do with pthreads as far as I can see), so I guess something else
is broken at the moment.  I see there's some unwinder work going on -- maybe
that's it.
