Andreas, I am working on this problem too. http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/java/2005-04/msg00024.html It turns out that libgcj.a has two versions of Logger.getName(). I think this is a problem with 4.0.0. I have been building my own mingw 4.0.0 cvs on linux. Steve
