The build is done on a Mac OS-X 10.2.3 machine with a patched kernel. 
But I used to do it on a bare OS-X machine before. The patched kernel is 
only here to get some more reliable results.

But I also assume that a pure darwin should work, since nothing specific 
is used from OS-X.
