Building GCC 3.3 / MingW: The Saga Continues

Thanks for all the tips and thread references, Tom and Frank.
This would have taken me days to unearth, if I succeeded at all.

I know for a fact that GCJ 3.2 on Win32 does JNI because I have
successfully built and run SWT applications with it. The issue
probably has to do with the fact that the cross compiler I'm
using doesn't support this, as per the thread Frank sent me.

When Ranjit initially offered me guidance in this endeavor:

he mentioned this configury patch:

which after a brief, I'm-new-to-all-of-this, investigation
doesn't seem to have been incorporated. What's more, it
looks like configure.in (and maybe Makefile.am, can't
remember offhand) has (have) evolved since this patch
was submitted. However, I wasn't clear from examining
Ranjit's patch if this would solve the problem.

I'll keep on digging....
