Did you do the *exact same thing* with the *exact same source* on both
machines?

That means, have you built gcc, from the same sources, with no
different patches, for both machines?

There is no way, unless the compiler that you sed to build gcj is
broken, that it should be possible to get different results like this.

Another possibility: maybe the runtime library on the Solaris system
is broken.  Maybe it handles floating-point incorrectly.
