link problems under darwin5.2

the -u in combination with the q is not allowed on my ar, I use "q".
Well, this works so far, I only get one undefined symbol. Only one
_alloca is still missing, will find this as well.
What me confuses is the fact, that on solaris2.6 I have the same ar
switches (rc) and there it works .....
