Yeah! Upgrading binutils to version 2.12.90.0.15 seems to have fixed to
problem (Debian GNU/LInux 3.0 - Woody comes with 2.12.90.0.1-4). I was
already using this version on by x86 test machine. One of the changelog
enties says: "Fix eh_frame."

Phew, I am going to run the complete testsuite and hopefully add all
provider classes back to CVS.
