gcj compile problems on powerpc (3.0 branch)

Nope.  I've started doing daily PPC builds to see if it suddenly
starts working.  So far no luck.

I get this:

    ./.libs/libffi.so: undefined reference to `__extendsfdf2@@GCC_3.0'
