Use the one Bryce says...
... but really the best thing is not to re-run it at all.
If you use gcc_update it will take care of this for you.

At some point I'd like to move the whole tree to 1.5.  But I haven't
had the time to do it yet.

For Java, always use the head -- that is, no -r option.
