Stack overflow

Hi,

I just coded some infinite recursion by mistake and found that the only
error I get is a segmentation fault.
Couldn't I be getting a StackOverflowException ? Is that being worked
on?

PS: I'm using  gcc 2.96 20000814 and libgcj from 25.9.
