FYI, I checked into this and the snapshots are now intact.  Yes, they
were truncated for apparently a few days and I'm guessing that it may
have been due to a space problem (I ran the snapshoting script by hand
and it ran fine and last night's cron job ran it successfully also).

I'll keep an eye on this for a while to make sure this doesn't happen again.
