Is the library needed to make java.io.* stuff still missing?
If it is, any timeframe?  I'd like to use Java for my XML work,
but the speed is just too slow.  I can hardly wait to compile some
of the Java XML programs and see how much speedup is gained.  
SAXON in particular.
