Tom Tromey and I made some changes to the compiler about a month ago
so it can grok more bizarre bytecode (coalescing overlapping eh
regions, and dealing with eh regions that extend into dead bytecode).
The obfuscation is no longer an issue for volano, but I think that
we're still missing a couple of support classes - something related to
security I think - I don't remember the details right now.  If anyone
has volano handy perhaps they could remind us...
