Yes, a pointer was posted a couple of days ago:
http://www.cygnus.com/~green/june4.patch .

This patch has been applied to the gcc 2.95 release branch, and will
show up in the next snapshot.

libgcj provides libgcj.spec.   You must use libgcj.

BTW - we've had success using gcj with Oracle's pure java jdbc code.
