this is not a bug in gij, but in glibc (2.6?), apparently fixed by:

2006-11-30  Jan Kratochvil  <jan.kratochvil@redhat.com>

        * sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/x86_64/clone.S: Provide CFI for the outermost
        `clone' function to ensure proper unwinding stop of gdb.

and
