State-Changed-Why:
    This problem still exists in the trunk.  It's definitely a
    bytecode compilation problem.  Compiling directly to native
    code works fine.  Also, Sun's javac will produce proper .class
    for gij or gcj.  gcj -C is at fault somehow.
