hi,
it seems that some thing goes wrong with the 
class: java.util.Date when i try to make a static linking 
i got an error message at the runtime : 
java.util.MissingResourceException: can't load bundle.
which is not the case for other classes such as ArrayList
coming from the same package.
the problem did not accrue when i linked dynamically,
unfortunately, i have to do a static link.
here is the example with the makefile used:

test.java:
