For the record, I'm going to be highly skeptical of any attempt to
mess with any of the libjava configury code related to cross builds
simply because I thought about it and tested it so heavily. That's
not to say that there are no mistakes, just that I'm going to
skeptical :):

I haven't reread the analysis, which is almost four years old (I was two-months
fresh into this), so I'm not sure how much of it is correct.... However, I think
it should be required reading for anyone wanting to mess around with this stuff.
