Minor addenda(?):

1. You should use "svn+ssh:" instead of just "svn:" if you
wish to be able to commit into the branch.

2. You should get as recent a version of SVN 1.3.0 (RC2 at
this moment) as possible from
http://lolut.utbm.info/pub/subversion-1.3.0/

Start with "http://gcc.gnu.org/wiki/SvnHelp".
