Yeah, and the coding conventions ask us to put two spaces after
the period ending a sentence "so that the sentence commands in
emacs work correctly" (whatever that means).

Looks like the bugs/features of the-one-blessed-editor
unnecessarily dictate how one writes code. (Sorry, this
is not meant to start an emacs v/s vi flamefest, but IMHO
such things are unnecessary irritants to those of us who
are not crippled by such beasts.)
