You're probably right.  I'm not a java expert.  I was just going by comparison mismatches found under the GCJ status and comparison page.

If interface and static interface on inner classes are equivalent, then japi-tools should get updated.  I see the last update of the tools was a year ago.  Do you know if they're still being maintained?
