Hi People,

Three strikes and I'm out. I've had enough people complain about
the licensing restrictions imposed by this patch on Win9X that
I'm rescinding it. I'm going to resubmit a patch with configure
options for UNICODE <-> ANSI <-> UNICODE, UNICODE with libunicows
and pure UNICODE without libunicows (which won't run on Win9X).
Even if this doesn't get into the FSF tree for this release, I'm
pretty sure the MinGW folks will accept it.

While you're waiting for the patch, everyone that has intimated
that I might have had my personal agenda more at heart than the
user community's wishes may now send me fan mail and tell me what
a wonderful person I am.
