I'll take a peek to see to what extent RMI might be easily tested.

Assuming the "-" side of the diff is the new version, looks okay.
How strict are you (classpath + libjava) trying to be with matching
the signature of Sun java.* functions, with respect to "throws"
clauses?

If they are the upstream source for this neighbourhood, would it have
been more appropriate for me to submit my patch to classpath
first/instead, and then merge?
