I'd say I'm about 60% of the way through your patch.  Some parts I've
taken verbatim.  Other parts, like reformatting, I just did over.
Your patch includes some changes to the unicode-table-parsing scripts;
I have yet to look at these parts.

I'm really sorry that I put this patch off so long.
