Hi,
thanks for all the help to get java built and successfully tested on s390. 
Applying the patches to the Debian 3.1 compiler works fine and gives no 
unexpected failure during the testsuite execution.

Is it o.k. to commit the changes now also to the 3.1 branch? If yes, could 
someone do it for me, since I don't have write access.
