Thanks for making this a priority, guys.

I'm very, very close to solving the exception issue, but my fix will
basically amount to undoing somebody's patch made back in
mid-December. So I'll be able to produce a patch that fixes the
problem, but it probably won't fix it "the right way" -- I'll need
somebody more familiar with the front end to clean it up.

Hopefully this will appear this afternoon, and I will then be able to
turn my attention back to the large number of small issues I've put on
the back burner (including this one).
