Accepting IRIX 5.2's old-style getpwuid_r

Oh well!  It thought Solaris's getpwuid_r would not return int :-(

I'm reverting the patch, and explore function overloading to
accomplish the same.  That's the only solution I could find to detect
the type of ctime_r, anyway...
