Running parts of the testsuite

This wasn't clear to me, thanks.  After some fiddling, I figured out that

    make check-g++ RUNTESTFLAGS="dg.exp=vla*.C"

did the trick for me (that is, no path in the .exp file and the glob 
pattern).
