Yes, that's true. I am currently porting the backend to 4.6.1 so I might 
do the changes in tree-tailcall on that version and leave the extra 
passes around expand in GCC 4.5.3 for now since our 4.5 is really just a 
bridge for our users to upgrade from our older 4.2/4.3 ports.
