FWIW, raw H8 testing with newlib is rather pointless because of the 
insanely small address space.  Unfortunately, the linker doesn't report 
relocation overflows and there's more heap/stack collisions than one can 
easily count.  The combination of those makes the raw H8 testresults 
damn difficult to interpret.

Testing with -mh and -ms is far more meaningful.
