Status of the tuples branch - request for primary/secondary taget maintainers help

The tuples branch is ready for merging to trunk if we can address a
few remaining issues.  The branch currently bootstraps and tests
on i586-linux, x86_64-linux, ppc-linux, ppc64-linux, ia64-linux
and s390x-linux.  It fails to bootstrap on s390-linux (it fails
during stage3 gcc configure, appearantly all function arguments
get passed in %r2 instead of %r2 and %r3 for a call to fopen.  Andreas,
can you have a look here?). I'll be posting testresults of these
targets shortly.

I would ask the maintainers of the non-covered primary and
secondary targets to have a look at the status of their target
on the branch as we do not have access to all kind of hardware
to cover these targets.
