I think you are talking about a different thing. The people that would
post to gcc-newbies are different than the people that should post to
gcc-help. Nonetheless (as a bit offtopic)...

... gcc-dev@, keep gcc@ as an alias for gcc-dev@, replace in the
webpage gcc@ by gcc-dev@ and put gcc-help@ the first in the list.

Anyway, as I said, I don't think this has much to do with the issues
raised by Diego.
