compiler chain on AIX

	You have not provided information for anyone to help with that
assessment.

	Again, there is no reason to assume that this is a problem with
the interaction between AIX ld and GCC.

	Also, many freeware packages test the configuration and do not
assume GNU+Linux linker options.
