bootstrap fails for apple-ppc-darwin

I can see the problem also...  :-(

I doubt if the person that broke it knows about it.  It was working  
just a short time ago (beginning of the week?).

I checked the command line used to build, and it looks mostly the same.

I'd suggest tracking it down and finding what broke it.
