http://gcc.gnu.org/readings.html lists Porting GCC for Dunces by Hans-Peter
Nilsson amongst other things.   Be aware that the internals will have changed
since Hans-Peter wrote that.  You need to refer to the doc/tm.texi% file for the
up to date information.
