Problem compiling GCC 4.0 RC1 on powerpc-ibm-aix5.2.0.0

Hmm ... The ordering of targets seems rather confusing.
I guess I expect that 

  *-*-freebsd*
  *-*-linux-gnu
  *-*-solaris2*
  *-*-sysv*
  *-*-vxworks* 
  *-ibm-aix*

will be contiguous and at the front of the list.  As they
are currently scattered among the targets it can be
difficult to find them.  In particular, I do not understand
why *-ibm-aix* is between ia64-*-hpus* and ip2k-*-elf:

  ia64-*-hpux* 
  *-ibm-aix* 
  ip2k-*-elf 

I will be happy to reorder the page if someone will check
my ordering for sanity and then check in the submission if
approved.

Now back to my original problem.  I have checked with my
local sys admin and he tells me that the updates mentioned
in *-ibm-aix* - specifically PTF U455193, PTF U461879, and
PTF U453956 - all refer to 4.3, whereas we are at AIX 5.2.

So I am back to my original question.  What is different
between your machine and mine?  Any further ideas as to
what I should look at?
