Beginner GCC projects question

Greetings.

I'm interested in assisting with GCC development, so I figured that
picking a few projects off of the beginner GCC projects page
( http://gcc.gnu.org/projects/beginner.html ) would be a good way to
orient myself.

Two questions:

1) Is the list of projects current? I was thinking of starting with the
include file inter-dependency cleanup, but I want to make sure that
somebody else isn't already tackling that.

2) I gather that I need to send in a copyright assignment. Is filling in
the form in http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc/2003-06/msg02298.html still the
current approach? If not, could I please get a pointer to the current
form.
