I agree, that's odd.  The other odd thing is that this must be something 
to do with makeinfo -- and I thought that I was using the same makeinfo 
binary that I did for 3.4.0.  (This is makeinfo 4.6.)

In any case, this seems harmless enough; certainly not a showstopper.
