Thanks for reporting this.  I presume your kernel is 64-bit capable?  If so, 
it would be nice to run the testsuite in 64-bit mode too (given that the 
64-bit libraries have been built).  For example with:

gmake -k check RUNTESTFLAGS="--target_board=unix{,-m64}"
