typedefs and attribute aligned in gcc-3.3.3

Yup, that's what I thought.  I only noticed this in the last day or so.  I
opened a bugreport as per Giovanni's request - 14142.

Any pointers on where to look in the code for this?  I am hoping to be
able to back-port a fix to my 3.3.1 src in house.
