Correct.  In order to run the gcc testsuite, you just need to let the
test harness know whether the program called exit() or abort().

Some use cgen, some use igen (see sim/igen), some are freecoded, they
should all ideally use the support code in sim/common.  You can
probably get better information on the gdb mailing list.
