Ada users: please try libada-branch -- really

The command is exactly identical to what I get on HEAD x86-linux
so it is not a Makefile issue at the failure point, and g-string.o
should be in libgnat.a on libada-branch (the _E is Ada elaboration stuff
IIRC). 

My last Ada build on darwin was quite an adventure anyway so I would
not hold a merge for this FWIW.
