GCC 3.4.0 Prerelease Available

The (first, and perhaps only) GCC 3.4.0 prerelease is now available at:

  ftp://gcc.gnu.org/pub/gcc/prerelease-3.4.0-20040406/

and mirrors.

These are source packages only.

Generation of diffs from 3.3.3 did not work correctly, so the "diffs" 
directory is empty.  That will be corrected before the final release.

If no major problems are found with these prereleases, the final release 
will be made in approximately one week.

The GCC 3.4 branch remains *completely frozen*. 

Please do not make any check-ins without my explicit permission.

(There are a few outstanding requests for GCC 3.4.0 patches that I will 
be reviewing today.)
