test suite creates lines with CR+LF instead of CR only (was: problems with test result report for i486-suse-linux-gnu)

This is because the testsuite creates the lines that includes the compiler
version in the test summaries with a CR+LF instead of CR only.  Current
releases of nail get confused by this and decide to send the contents as a
binary attachment.

Does someone of the testsuite gurus know how to fix this?  If this cannot be
fixed with dejagnu, something should be added to contrib/test_summary that
cleans out this rubbish before giving the stuff to Mail.
