Why so many java failures on Linux/ia64?

I have narrowed it down to between 2003.04.01.08.00.00 UTC and
2003.04.02.08.00.00 UTC. I saw a bunch of libjava changes be checked
in during that time frame. I will track down which change is the
real cause.
