Solaris 2.6 & PTHREAD_MUTEX_INITIALIZER

Hi Eric,

I was specifically told to hold off on it while 3.3 got stabilized.
I consider it a near-zero risk change, but the line in the sand was
considered more important than what was perceived as the rare few
individuals that:  1) are still using Solaris 2.6, and 2) use
PTHREAD_MUTEX_INITIALIZER.  So, get Mark's okay & I'll install it.
Otherwise, I'll still need a reminder once checkins are again okayed.
I use 2.8/2.9.
