When is stage 1 scheduled to close for 3.4?

Stage 1 will close a month after 3.3 ships, which will be soon.

I'm nervous that 3.4 already has too many changes in it, thanks to the
big delay with 3.3.  On the other hand, this is clearly good stuff; if
it is ready, it can go in.
